The Farm by Alila Wins AsiaSpa’s Spa Retreat of the Year Award

(Philippines, November 2008) The Farm, a health and spa resort newly managed by Alila

Hotels and Resorts, is proud and honored to be awarded “Spa Retreat of the Year” by AsiaSpa

magazine, one of the Asia’s most recognized spa and wellness publications.

Launched in 2005, this is the fourth year of the annual AsiaSpa awards which recognize

exceptional spas in the Asia region as selected by an expert panel of independent judges who

are hand-picked by the magazine. Notable judges this year include Grant Thatcher, founder of

Luxe City Guides; Luca Tettoni, photographer; and Karen Gouge of Spa Travel Australia.

A total of 15 spas across Asia were shortlisted by the judges for the “Spa Retreat of the Year”

award this year. The Farm was ultimately chosen to receive the prestigious award. This is the

fourth consecutive year that the resort has been presented with an award by AsiaSpa. Last year,

it received “Spa Cuisine of the Year”, “Spa Retreat of the Year” and “Medi-Spa of the Year”

AsiaSpa awards.
